The Gratitude Campaign

A friend sent me a link to this video today. It's a very simple way we can all thank our military personnel for their service. After viewing the video, check out the website for more information: http://www.gratitudecampaign.org/

My father was drafted and served in Germany at the end of the Korean war. When he was in his 70's he went to a concert where they asked all the veterans to stand and be acknowledged. He told me, in tears, that no one had ever thanked him for his sacrifice or his service until that day.
I never pass by a service man or woman without offering my thanks. We owe them our respect and thanks.

Thanks for your comment Mary. I have been to military band concerts where they play each service song and ask the men and women who served in that branch to stand. The MC will turn and salute each person standing. Not a dry eye in the house! I get very emotional whenever I reflect on the sacrifice made by our real American heroes from yesterday and today. We're planning to show this video at church on Sunday morning. I encourage you to do the same to spread the word about this important tribute.
